Conference: Computational Methods for Quantum Many-Body Systems: Algorithms, Models and Materials

FOR1807 International Conference 2021
Georg-August-University Göttingen
September 6-9, 2021
The conference will be held from September 6 to September 9, 2021 and will take place in a hybrid scheme, where in person participants will meet in the Paulinerkirche, Alfred-Hessel Saal, Göttingen, Germany, while others will join online via Zoom. Unfortunately, only invited speakers and FOR1807 members will be able to join in person.
Subject
The conference will cover the following topics in strongly correlated quantum systems:
- Novel Tensor Network and DMRG Methods
- Recent Advances in Fermionic QMC and SSE Methods
- Quantum Magnetism and Spin Liquids
- Theory of Ultrafast Dynamics in Strongly Correlated Materials
- Non-Equilibrium Dynamics in Closed Quantum Many-Body Systems
- Electron-Phonon Systems
- Entanglement in Quantum Many-Body Systems
We aim to bring together both international experts in the computational methods used in these fields as well as experts for the underlying theory and the analytical description. Moreover, a selected number of experimentalists will hold overview talks.

Poster
There will be a virtual poster session using gather.town, where the posters will be displayed throughout the conference. Additionally, there will be a poster slam consisting of one minute summaries/teasers of the research.
Participants intending to present a poster should send their poster and a single summaries/teasers slide by August 30th to for1807[at]physik.uni-wuerzburg.de.
Posters should be in a fitting format for an embedded image in gather.town, this means (see here):
- in .png, .jpg, or .webp format
- at least 1000px for the width
- at least 600px for the height
- max 3MB in size
