The Publication plugin
The Publication plugin is able to generate nicely formatted references automatically if you provide it with a doi. The doi system provides all the relevant information via a mechanism called content negotiation. You can try this for yourself to generate bibtex Info:
curl -LH "Accept: text/bibliography; style=bibtex" http://dx.doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevA.91.053628
This will give you the following output:
@article{Bauer_2015, title={Temporal decay of Néel order in the one-dimensional Fermi-Hubbard model}, volume={91}, ISSN={1094-1622}, url={http://dx.doi.org/10.1103/PhysRevA.91.053628}, DOI={10.1103/physreva.91.053628}, number={5}, journal={Phys. Rev. A}, publisher={American Physical Society (APS)}, author={Bauer, A. and Dorfner, F. and Heidrich-Meisner, F.}, year={2015}, month={May}}
The plugin uses this to retrieve JSON formatted information. The call to the remote server is only done upon saving the new publication to keep the response time of the overview page down.
Sadly there seems to be some lag when this information is available and it seems to be longer than 7 days….
